Problems with your flight

Did you have problems with your flight? Then you have multiple rights as laid down in Regulation 261/2004. For example, you are entitled to compensation for the loss of time suffered in the event of an arrival delay of three hours or more, in the event of a cancellation shortly before departure or in the event of denied boarding.

What was your flight problem?

Air passenger rights

If your flight was delayed, cancelled or you were denied boarding, you have numerous rights. With a delay of two hours or more, the airline is obliged to offer you something to eat or drink. If the flight problem means an overnight stay is required, the airline must provide you with a hotel and transfer. Keep the receipts of all your expenses so that you can recover these costs from the airline.

Right to compensation

In the event of a long delay, denied boarding or cancellation, you may be entitled to compensation for the loss of time suffered. The amount of the compensation depends on the distance of the original flight.

Flight destinations within the EU

  • €250 compensation for a cancelled flight up to 1500 km
  • €400 compensation for a cancelled flight more than 1500 km

Flight destinations outside the EU

  • €250 compensation for a cancelled flight up to 1500 km

  • €600 compensation for a cancelled flight more than 3500 km

In some cases you are entitled to half of the above compensation. This depends on amount of time lost in relation to the distance of the flight.
